Metal part consists of the wire which goes over the tooth, in form of arch, and screw which is placed somewhere in acrylate mass. Patients may remove and place mobile dentures, as they wish. Mobile dentures should be worn during the night and several hours during the day, depending on the stage of problem.
Fixed orthodontic appliances – Fixed denture
Fixed orthodontic appliances are recommended to patients who are over eighteen. Fixed orthodontic appliances are usually used for correction of irregular bite. Irregular bite has direct negative impact to the digestive system, because the food which the patient tries to chew reaches the stomach poorly chewed. Fixed orthodontic appliance consists of braces and arch. Braces are fixed by special glue to the surface of each tooth. Arch is pulled through braces. Fixed denture may be made out of metal or ceramic. Ceramic fixed dentures are more expensive than metal fixed dentures, but are less visible in the mouth. If you are wearing ceramic fixed denture, it will seem to other people like you do not have it.
